The second part of the ongoing Ventura build is up. Easy going…as expected.
The fun continues on the Ventura build review as we take on some early housekeeping. Check it out the build at Scale Plastic Aircraft Modeler.
….nothing brings depth to a cockpit like these tried and true techniques. The Junkers’ cockpit is coming along swimmingly.

Revell Ventura Mk. II In-Box Review
Revell has provided us at Scale Plastic Aircraft Modeler a copy of their new Lockheed Ventura in RAF regalia. Check out the in-box review and look for an in-depth build review to follow.
This beast is really trying to defeat me in the closing stages, but it should be rolling off the line tomorrow.
A sneak peak of post-weathering/clear coat happenings.
Courtesy of Revell and Scale Plastic Aircraft Modeler the jolly good postman has dropped off this neat little bugger:
Initial impressions? Seriously nice looking kit from Revell! In-box review and build review forthcoming!
Cockpit is starting to take shape.
The Eduard belts looks great…the two on the right have been mucked up with some artist oils…the difference can be seen comparing the belts on the left.
This is the biggest thing I’ve built so far…any scale.
Full WIP can be found at Scale Plastic Aircraft Modeler
I’m happy to share that my first product review is up. Stop by and find out just how revolutionary this product was to my world of scale modeling.
Want to hear my horror tale of decals from hell? Check the WIP of this one at SPAModeler.
Despite all the issues I managed to move the Jug out of decal stage last night.
Up next: clear protective coat and on to weathering.
After initially jumping in to the world of blogging I became a bit overwhelmed trying to build things up using a backlog of builds and running a Work in Progress section. I don’t think a blog specific WIP section is necessary given all my builds are published to multiple forums.
I will abandon the WIP idea and just update builds in the blog feed and link to the appropriate forums. This should cut down on workload. I will also be utilizing Facebook so please check me out and “like” me there!
I am excited that I will be doing my first in-box kit review and build review for Scale Plastic Aircraft Modeler and Revell, so stay tuned for that one.
